Cot mobiles are a great way to help babies build visual discrimination skills. But so many mobiles miss the point; they look pretty but do little to develop a baby’s vision.
For a mobile to be more than decorative, it needs to offer high contrast shapes and colours that young eyes can distinguish. Choose a mobile with striking black and white or brightly coloured patterns. Some also come with interchangeable parts and images, which help you keep your mobile interesting and appropriate to your baby’s developing vision.
